Blog Entry #1 - Forward, Acknowledgements, and Introduction
While reading this section of book it became very clear to me that this book meant a great deal to Ernest Hemingway. This is obvious based on the remarks that he would write and re-write and submit and re-submit chapters, titles, endings, etc. throughout the creation of this book.
It also seems as if other people had their own ideas and feelings about where the book should go that maybe contradicted what Hemingway had envisioned.
After his death they published the version of the book that THEY wanted. This seems to be true based on the numerous remarks about how they would edit out or insert things and basically turned A Moveable Feast into almost a completely different book.
That is basically what I gathered from the early portion of this book. It looks to be a fascinating read and I am actually about to submit this entry and continue reading right now.
